Thierry Cardon
Dorn in Zaire in 1955, Thierry Cardon is a distinguished contemporary French photographer renowned for his expertise in traditional analog photography and printmaking techniques such as cyanotype, gum dichromate, and palladium. He often hand-colors his analog prints, adding a unique touch to his works.
Cardon completed his Fine Arts degree at the Beaux-Arts School of Paris. His career includes roles as a librarian at Centre Georges Pompidou (1978-1982) and currently at François-Rabelais in Tours, Blois, in the Loire Valley. Alongside his librarian duties, he works as an Art Therapist at a psychiatric hospital for children in Paris, combining his artistic skills with therapeutic practices.
He has published several photobooks and has exhibited his works in galleries across France and India. Notably, he participated in the public Photo-art Project 365 in Tiruvannamalai, India. Cardon also conducts workshops for young and aspiring photographers, sharing his extensive knowledge and passion for photography. Now residing in Blois, he continues to create and inspire through his multifaceted career in art and therapy.
